Green H2 Mallorca

The first green hydrogen plant in Mallorca is already a reality. Located in the municipality of Lloseta, it is a pioneering project in all of Spain that has revolutionized the way of consuming energy globally, making it more sustainable, less polluting and environmentally responsible. The project is part of the European Green Hysland initiative, being the first renewable hydrogen initiative in a Mediterranean country to receive European funding. The renewable electricity necessary to feed the electrolyser that generates the hydrogen will be guaranteed by two photovoltaic plants located in Lloseta (8.5MW) and Petra (5.85MW). The project is led by ACCIONA Energía and Enagás with the participation of CEMEX and IDAE. This plant will generate up to 300 tons of green hydrogen each year, 100% produced from photovoltaic plants with which CO2 emissions could be reduced by up to 20,700 tons per year.
