The goal for Greenhub is ‘Promoting Healthy Eating and Food Security in Every Home’; a big task, but with the young, innovative, and intelligent team we know it is achievable. The idea for GreenHub was conceptualized from the staggering figures which reflected the Caribbean’s importation bill. That, coupled with the high rate of persons living with non-communicable diseases (NCDs) on our island, compelled our team to create this brand. Over the years we as a society have developed a palate for a western diet, which is often high calorie, high salt, high fat, and low fiber. This desire to imitate the western food culture has resulted in our population resembling them healthwise; a population with overweight/obese children, overweight/obese adults, high NCD rates, and generally unhealthy people. We want to reverse this through a ‘Farm to Table’ approach. Our team comprises of both nutritionists and chefs, which is key to assisting the reversal of these issues. Our goal is to empower people to feed their household nourishing foods. What we offer Currently, we offer the DIY Plant Kit.
