Green Sanctuaries

Green Sanctuaries is an endowment fund created in 2022 that aims to protect key forests for biodiversity that are the most threatened, in France and around the world. At Green Sanctuaries, we develop and fund projects to preserve these forests, as well as projects that have an impact on local communities. To achieve its mission, Green Sanctuaries deploys up to 5 types of action. Whatever the context, the ultimate objective is always the same: to ensure the long-term protection of these forests. Securing threatened land through purchase, long-term leasing or any other effective means 2. Study the forests with teams of local and international scientists 3. Raise public awareness, particularly among children 4. Promote sustainable economic solutions in consultation with the men and women living nearby 5. Support indigenous communities on a global scale We have already protected forests in Zimbabwe and Ecuador, and projects are ongoing in Cameroon, France and French Guiana. Our non-profit organisation is authorised to receive donations (with a tax deduction of 66% for individuals and 60% for companies). We are also an approved 1% For the Planet association.
