Green Technology Education Centre

Green Technology Education Centre is a non-profit organization based out of 2305 W 7th Ave, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. GTEC's mission is to inform, support and activate communities in responding to the climate crisis. GTEC is in development of the Climate Response Centre to be located in Vancouver, B.C. It will be a source of relevant and accessible educational and community development programming, a template for communities throughout B.C. and a centre of evolving community-based expertise about responding to climate change. Sparking the regeneration of its environment and engagement with Indigenous values are critical parameters of the Centre's evolution. The Centre, in a pop-up form, will host The Climate Museum’s The End of Fossil Fuel presentation as its first exhibit. GTEC is also focused on the impacts of climate change in the healthcare sector. We are working with the Canadian Coalition for Green Health Care in implementing the Coalition’s Heat Adapt grant in B.C. This project aims to develop a comprehensive understanding of the current and future implications of extreme heat in the healthcare system.
