Greene County Fire Rescue

Fire Rescue operates five stations strategically located throughout Greene County, Georgia. Each station houses an engine company that is staffed 24-hours a day, 7-days a week, with two certified firefighters assigned to each engine. Three of these stations are shared locations with Greene County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and are also staffed 24-hours a day, 7-days a week, with an advanced life support (ALS) ambulance. In addition to the staffed engines and ALS ambulances, each station also houses other Fire, EMS and Emergency Management Agency (EMA) resources. The Fire Department has ten firefighters and one Battalion Chief on-duty 24-hours a day that respond to various types of incidents including fires, fire alarms, motor vehicle crashes, hazardous materials incidents and medical emergencies. Fire Department operations are managed by the Fire Chief.
