Greener Is Cleaner

Greener is Cleaner is a youth-led environmental organization that empowers youth worldwide to take action for the environment and their futures. We value solidarity and collective action to achieve climate justice."The power in people is stronger than the people in power." Greener is Cleaner works toward the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals 11, 12, and 13 with the power of 17: partnerships for the goals. Our main targets are SDG 13.2 and 13.3, which address the integration of climate change measures in policies and the improvement in education and awareness-raising. Although we are based in South Korea, our team and audience come from different parts of the world. Since 2018, we have had over 100 serving members and involved over 16k youths from 41 countries in 5 continents in our campaigns and projects. Our projects include events, activism, and content creation. Our primary event is the Eco Loci, a series of virtual conferences for international audiences discussing environmental issues and solutions. We also engage in community clean-ups, climate strikes, sustainable design sales, and donations. We create lots of informative content such as podcasts, weekly website blogs, social media infographics, sustainable development goals teachable curriculums, Youtube videos, and magazines. Our 6-chapter interactive booklet is available online and is distributed to 19 international schools in South Korea. We also have given over 90 presentations to various audiences ranging from elementary school kids to scientists and policymakers. Across Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn, we interact with over 1.6k social media followers and 10k annual website viewers.
