Our Green Story Greenland Gardener started in my yard when my son, Jake, and I were building a raised bed garden with composite decking that we make at Greenland Composites. We spent a frustrating day putting together two garden boxes when Jake came up with the idea of making an easy to assemble garden box to sell. Now, to be honest, the brain behind the Greenland Gardner is Mike Barnett. Mike knows more about raised bed gardens than anyone I know, and he is the designer as well as the main blogger here on the website. The thing I love about the Greenland Gardener is that it makes being “green” easy and affordable. Each Garden box eliminates waste plastic and wood waste from going to the landfill and provides you and your family a hobby that pays you back with fresh fruit and vegetables.
