Greenspace Scotland

greenspace scotland provides a national lead for action on parks and greenspace. Our vision is for a Scotland where greenspace is making our lives and places better. We work with a wide range of local and national partners to support the planning, development and sustainable management of greenspaces and green networks as a key part of the blue-green infrastructure of our towns and cities. We provide bespoke services that include network development: green health planning and strategies; community placemaking; preparing plans for urban greening; organising consultations and engagement activity; open space strategies; greenspace quality assessments; play sufficiency assessments and community funding. We help shape a supportive policy context for greenspace, promote good practice on greenspace delivery and provide resources to support local projects. We work with the Scottish Government, Councils, universities, national and local public bodies, third sector and community organisations.
