Gritty Rascals Events was born with the vision of delivering Swimrun events that run true to the spirit of the Swimrun sport, to the UK and beyond. In 2023 we brought back the Swimrun Coniston with 3 distances: 45, 21 and 13 kms - with options to enter as a team or solo. In 2024 Coniston became an ÖTILLÖ Swimrun Merit Race, the only race in the UK where you could gain ranking points to enter ÖTILLÖ, The Swimrun World Championship. We also launched Swimrun Gower with 2 race distances 12 and 20km/ In 2025 we added a 42km Full course distance to Swimrun Gower, which became a second ÖTILLÖ Swimrun Merit Race. In 2026 we added a 3rd event to our calendar - Swimrun Bewl, previously hosted by As Keen as Mustard Events with distances ranging from 6 to 21km. All our races are set in Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty- Swimrun Bewl, is set at Bewl Water Reservoir in Lamberhurst Kent, just a short drive from London. Swimrun Gower is a coastal A-B route along the Gower Peninsula Swimrun Coniston is a cross country A-B taking in some of the most beautiful parts of the Lake District all routes finish at Tweedies Bar in Grasmere. Our events are Adventure Races, many people come to race, but equally many come for the experience and adventure, we enable access to these environments with full water safety and medical cover along with nutrition and hydration.
