Groundwater Consortium

The Hamilton to New Baltimore Groundwater Consortium consists of seven public and industrial groundwater producers/users in southwest Ohio. All members either produce or use water from an extensive sand and gravel aquifer known as the Great Miami Buried Valley Aquifer (GMBVA). This aquifer is an unconfined sand and gravel aquifer making it more sensitive to contamination. For this reason our members work together to monitor and protect this local water resource through a source water protection program for long term sustainability in our communities.
