Do you think I'm losing weight?""Your fingers are looking scary skinny""Groupchat: The Series" is a web series written and produced by Chantal Bethune, starring Rachael Meckling (the spacey neurotic blonde), Jill Bogan (the witty boy crazy redhead) and Chantal Bethune (the cool airy brunette). This semi-autobiographical series is based around these three girls personalities, which explores the antics and random interactions between friends growing together. It is a lighthearted dialogue driven series which was inspired by our main method of communication being a groupchat we have been active in for over two years. Two years ago a Facebook groupchat was created through coworkers, consisting of around 52 members. People either began getting weeded out or left on part of being annoyed. Throughout the years the once 52 member group slowly decreased to 6 and then 3; we used the groupchat as a pooling conversation from the moment we woke up until 4am the following day. Anything and everything was said on this chat. There were days that if we didn't talk about what was on our minds it would feel almost as if we couldn't get through the day-it was a form of therapy. That being said, we want to share with you these interesting thoughts; scrolling through the chat as far back as early 2014, controversial and ridiculous messages were pulled from the chat and brought to life by those who said them.
