Grundo answers critical food security questions like how much wheat and corn can we expect from Germany in three months, how about in Europe, Asia or Africa? We uncover these answers by building algorithms, AI and use satellite data and provide them to insurance companies so they can tailor premiums, adjust risks, governments to efficiently disburse and subsidise sustainable farming practices. The cumulative estimate of the markets we are trying to serve is over $10 billion globally and growing fast. But the social impact is equally if not more important as climate change and food security are on an unavoidable collision course. These problems define our work and mission at Grundo.
