Gsne Orchis

Georgian Society of Nati\ure Explorers “Orchis” (GSNE “Orchis”) is a Georgia-based non-for-profit international civil society think tank organization which was established in 1997 and strives towards the sustainable development. The Mission of the GNSE “Orchis” is to support societies and countries transition to Green Economy that aims at reducing environmental risks and ecological scarcities through promotion of sustainable development without degrading the environment. GSNE “Orchis” is determined to assist in solving of environmental problems in the South Caucasus region through the promotion of collaboration at national and regional level among CSOs, governments, academia, business sector, local communities, and all other stakeholders, in order to create sustainable solutions for a healthy environment. GSNE “Orchis” has been established to contribute to the improvement of the environment and society wellbeing through environmental and social governance, enhancement of knowledge on Green Financing and by facilitating introduction and implementation of global, European, regional and national environmental and sustainability policies and agenda and to provide a gateway for dialogue, networking and cooperation among stakeholders and partners at global, regional, national and local levels. GSNE “Orchis” fosters modern and sustainable development values, build bridges between communities, and develop a progressive society that values and protects the environment. Our international team of experts is committed to contribute to this process by applying the experience accumulated while working on a broad range of challenging projects both in Georgia and worldwide. GSNE “Orchis” contributes to the successful development of society, through the promotion of effective and sustainable policy, by being an independent, professional, value-driven think tank organization, that learns and shares the best national and international policy practice.
