Guided Discoveries

Guided Discoveries is a STEM-focused, experiential education nonprofit that has been inspiring young people since 1979. We run school-year outdoor science programs and summer camps that include Catalina Island Marine Institute (CIMI), AstroCamp, Catalina Sea Camp, and Camp CHOP. Each year, more than students and campers come to our campuses to snorkel kelp forests, launch rockets, cook in professional kitchens, and discover new strengths in themselves. Since our founding, we have served more than 1.4 million children. Our mission is simple and steady: to make a positive difference in the lives of children through unique opportunities for discovery.
