Founded in 2016 as a social enterprise after pioneering three makerspaces, we continue to bridge communities and build relationships towards (1) inspiring innovation leaders,(2) championing hands-on culture and wellbeing, and (3) advancing STREAM (Science, Technology, Reading, Entrepreneurship, Arts and Mathematics). By partnering with the community, we have curated impact invention bootcamps, TECH TARIK knowledge events, BIOSKOPE community film screenings, impact innovation and entrepreneurship courses, maker hackathons, craft education masterclasses, outdoor learning experiences and have received multiple international awards for our sustainable inventions namely the iBam eco artisan speakers and the Floating Chinampa farming modules. In 2016, we were appointed by the World Islamic Economic Forum (WIEF) to curate a 10-day sustainability innovation bootcamp for global youth entrepreneurs and changemakers from 14 countries including the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, The Gambia, South Africa, Malaysia, India, Indonesia, the Philippines, Singapore and China. Ever since its inception, our collective of innovators have a significance presence at Maker Faire Singapore and through Citizen Innovation, represented Singapore overseas in international invention shows and thankfully won several awards.
