Gustaf Lekholm

For the past decade Gustaf Lekholm has enjoyed working as a freelance designer developing products from a wide range of disciplines, including furniture and household objects to tools and medical equipment. Gustaf’s core focus has always been the aesthetics of products, thriving to create designs that attracts the interest from its observers regardless of its purpose or functionality. In addition Gustaf has also developed a strong sense of problem solving, including how products function to how they are manufactured. Gustaf’s interest in materials and production methods enable more cost effective designs, and Gustaf tries to see specific manufacturing limitations as an opportunity rather than making compromises at the end. As a tool for visualising concepts Gustaf primarily relies on CAD software in combination with rapid prototyping. Gustaf earned a Master Degree in Fine Arts from Konstfack, a University College of Arts Crafts and Design. Prior to his college studies Gustaf has also studied two and a half years at various art schools. Gustaf’s projects have been recognised with numerous awards and nominations.
