Gwl-Ina

GWL-INA Network (in short GWL-INA) is a national network of gay men, men who have sex with men (other MSM), and transgender women (collectively GMT) in Indonesia that has been established since early 2007. GWL-INA, as a network, employs organizational basis as the nature of its membership, and is aiming to strengthen the capacity of GMT community based organization (CBOs) and to improve the outcome of HIV-AIDS prevention programmes for gay men, MSM, and waria individuals (Indonesian term for transgender women) in Indonesia. GWL-INA strives for meaningful involvement of its CBO members in the HIV response in Indonesia particularly those targeting for GMT communities. To do so, we provide capacity building activities for the members primarily in improving organization management, leadership and good governance, and skill and knowledge on issues related to sexual health and reproductive and rights (SRHR), sexual orientation and gender identity and expression (SOGIE), and human rights as the cornerstone for all programs targeting for GMT communities in Indonesia. Through several projects, we also have produced several guidelines or modules to be used by the CBO either for program implementation or for organizational purposes.
