Gyre Therapeutics, Inc.(“Gyre”)(Nasdaq: GYRE) is a commercial-stage biotechnology company developing anti-fibrotic therapeutics for a variety of chronic organ diseases. Gyre is headquartered in San Diego, CA, with a primary focus on the development and commercialization of anti-fibrotic therapeutics for a variety of chronic organ diseases. Gyre's lead compound F351 is a derivative of ETUARY® (Pirfenidone) and has obtained breakthrough therapy designation status for chronic HBV-associated liver fibrosis. A phase 3 confirmative clinical study is being conducted based on the phase 2 POC clinical data. A F351 phase I study has been completed in the US. An IND for a phase 2 clinical study will be filed for the treatment of NASH-associated fibrosis in the U.S. in 2024. F351 effectively suppresses chronic inflammation pathways, including the TGFbeta signaling pathway. As a result, it presents a promising therapeutic strategy as a single agent and opportunity for combination therapy with metabolic inhibitors in treating organ fibrotic diseases. Gyre is also advancing a diverse pipeline through its indirect controlling interest in Gyre Pharmaceuticals, including ETUARY therapeutic expansions, F573, F528, and F230.
