Hadley House

After working as a hospice nurse for six years, I have seen the need for a hospice house that accommodates caregivers as well as patients. I have seen far too often instances where hospice patients are placed into a respite care center, such as a nursing home or hospice center, and the caregivers are neglected. They are either given a chair to sleep in or are not allowed to stay at all. Due to this, the caregivers aren't able to get the break that they need and deserve due to either being uncomfortable or having to leave their loved one who is close to passing. Neither of these are ideal situations. Instead, I want a hospice house where caregivers are not only welcome, but are cared for as well. I want them to leave Hadley House feeling relaxed and refreshed.
