Our services include remittances, electronic transfers, foreign exchange, & Cheques. Under the exchange company license, HEC is authorized to deal in the business of currency exchange, travelers' cheques, notes, postal notes, money order, bank drafts and inward/outward remittances in a regulated environment. The company is authorized to set up its own branches or grant franchise arrangements for full range of services. Ø In 1960, the Foundation began its work in Halawi city of Tyre as case-service banking. Ø In 1978, the Foundation continued its activities under the name "Foundation Mahmud & Ahmed Halawi" Ø In the year 1983, Institution renamed, to become "Halawi Foundation" recorded in the commercial register number 1496 in 282 special Ø In 1988, the Foundation has been converted to a partnership and included on the list of exchange institutions at the Bank of Lebanon Resolution No. and given the No. 36 Ø In 1990, converted into a limited partnership under the name "Halawi Co- Mahmud Halawi & his partner" of resolution No. 4058 issued by the Bank of Lebanon
