Founded in 1996, Hammerschmidt Construction, Inc. is a Design + Build residential remodeling firm providing innovative design and remodeling services to homeowners in the Silicon Valley and surrounding communities. We are dedicated to creating value for our customers by providing creative design solutions, accurate fixed-price quotations, innovative project management, and exemplary service and warranty support. Our design team excels at finding ways to maximize the flow and function of customers’ existing homes and in designing additions and whole house remodels that enhance their beauty and value. Our job sizes range from a single bathroom remodel to whole house remodels. As one of the area’s first Certified Green Builders, we employ green building principles to enhance the beauty, comfort and convenience of each home we remodel. We are also certified in Lead Abatement to assure all homes built before 1978 are tested for lead, and if lead is found, it is contained and removed to protect the home’s occupants and job site workers. Additionally, as a member of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI), John holds a certification in Kitchen and Bath Design and our Production Manager and Lead Carpenters hold Lead Carpenter Certifications. Our business memberships and associations include: Build it Green, Better Business Bureau, Los Altos Chamber of Commerce, and the Los Altos Village Association. We received Remodeling Magazine's Big 50 Award as one of nation's Top 50 residential remodeling firms in 2007, their Big 550 award in 2009 as one of the top firms in the nation over a five year period, and Qualified Remodeler Magazine's Top 500 award in 2009. Our design and construction projects have won NARI Platinum, Gold, and Silver awards in 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2010 competitions for beautiful design and construction projects that meet customer needs.
