Hand on Heart Charity aims to save lives through education about sudden cardiac arrest, provision of defibrillators in schools and community groups where children are present and training. 12 children die each week from sudden cardiac arrest. Where defibrillators are used within 5 minutes of a life-threatening situation, the survival rate increases from 6% to 74% In our 5 years of operation, we have enabled defibrillators to be delivered in schools and to community groups and trained over pupils and adults.
