HandiHelp Accessible Innovations, led by founder Chris Stigas, is an industry leading accessibility consulting company that leverages personal experience, academic training, and construction background to create inclusive and equitable spaces within the built environment. Motivated by his own life-altering spinal cord injury, Chris has channeled his experiences into a powerful mission for positive change. As a hands-on organization, HandiHelp collaborates closely with stakeholders to identify and implement actionable solutions for accessibility requirements in construction projects and existing sites. Their expert team, specialized in universal design, construction, interior design, and digital accessibility, ensures best practice accessibility recommendations for building owners and visitors, while keeping current of requirements for Canadian Standards Association (CSA) and Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) statutes. With a deep commitment to advancing accessibility across various environments, HandiHelp offers consultation services for built, social, and cognitive needs, to create equitable living, learning, working, and play spaces. As an expanding in-house team of six professionals, HandiHelp also has the flexibility to engage up to 50 additional Rick Hansen Foundation Accessibility Certification (RHFAC) Professionals to meet clients' specific needs and timelines. HandiHelp excels in creating comprehensive proposals, gap analysis reports, and RHFAC ratings, encompassing necessary modifications for new or existing sites to achieve meaningful accessibility.
