Hands-On Institute is Nepal's leading experiential learning & study abroad organization, designing and facilitating custom faculty-led programs, school group trips, service-learning and internship placements and professional development immersions— operating since 2014. We are a full-service program design partner for universities, colleges, schools and organizations worldwide. Our team works directly with faculty, study abroad offices and group leaders to build programs around specific learning outcomes— conservation and indigenous knowledge systems, community development and social justice, public health, gender and empowerment, sustainable agriculture, entrepreneurship, environmental studies or cultural studies. Every program is co-designed with you, grounded in community partnerships we've built and maintained and facilitated end-to-end by our full-time in-country team. We handle the full program lifecycle: curriculum integration, itinerary design, risk assessment, budgeting, in-country logistics and post-program follow-up. Our Programs: i) Faculty-Led Study Abroad (1–16 weeks): built around your syllabus with community-engaged research & structured reflection. ii) School Groups: IB CAS programs, Week Without Walls, interim semester, global citizenship trips Internships (4–16 weeks): supervised placements in various themes with academic documentation and mentorship. iv) Professional Development: mindful leadership, design thinking and place-based learning for corporate teams and educators. v) Online Global Learning: virtual and pre-departure modules connecting your classroom to Nepal. Our programs operate across Nepal's three ecological zones—Kathmandu Valley, mid-hills of Kaski and Tanahun to Tharu conservation culture and Chitwan National Park in lowlands.
