Hang Time

MISSION STATEMENT: Our goal is to enlighten, educate, entertain, de-conflict and problem-solve through discussion. We seek to provide specific ex-offenders, group and gang members, diagnosed and yet to be diagnosed with Post & Present Traumatic Stress a choice in mental health treatment. Hang Time™ has become a sanctuary for its participants, offering a quiet, safe atmosphere to share day-to-day issues. Attendees love our motto: “You will leave Hang Time™ knowing something you didn’t know when you walked in”. The rules are simple: • No drugs, contraband or weapons allowed. Any/all conflict (“beef”) that may exist between participants of Hang Time™ anywhere in the city are placed on “pause” while at Hang Time™. The one mile radius in and around Hang Time™ is a neutral zone for all. Everyone’s perspective is respected and valued. • Each week resources for job opportunities are printed and provided to attendees seeking employment. • Information on any new social service programs offered by local, non-profit, state, and federal organizations will also be highlighted at the start of Hang Time™. • Various items (clothes, diapers, toiletries etc.) donated by community groups and individuals are always present and given away before and after the sessions."Real Talk with Respect™"
