Hanoi Pride

Pride events in Vietnam, and Hanoi Pride in particular, have always been the biggest and most anticipated annual events for the LGBTIQ+ community because of their legitimacy, scale, continuity, and collaborative approach. The past few years have witnessed wondrous Pride seasons in Vietnam lasting from August to September with approximately 20 Pride events in different provinces and cities across the country, reflecting the incredibly diverse LGBTIQ+ community at the local level. Having been successfully organized for 12 years, Hanoi Pride stands out as one of the biggest Pride celebrations in Vietnam, organized by a working group of members representing grassroots groups, non-governmental organizations, and social enterprises working to advance the rights of LGBTIQ+ people in Hanoi.
