Happime Foundation

Happime Foundation, an organisation dedicated to fighting period poverty by providing high quality sanitary towels to girls in disadvantaged communities, thus ensuring that the Girl Child stays in school. 1 in 10 girls on the African Continent misses school because of lack of access to sanitary towels. This results in girls dropping out of school, poor academic performance or opting for easier subject choices. Naturally this affects their career choices, further widening the gender inequality gap. This also affects the confidence of girls as they evolve into young women, fueling already existing societal ills. We raise funds through a community of HappiGivers, who are individuals and corporates with whom this cause resonates. We realize that in the end, governments cannot do everything and it falls onto us, the citizens, to take the baton and uplift our girls and in turn our communities to restore the dignity of the girl child.
