Minutes turned to hours, and none of the big, reliable cab service providers were able to get the job done. Either the waiting time was too high, the rides were too far away, or worse—the drivers canceled the ride. Imagine: What if it was an emergency? Situations like these are common in Tricity. Not every area is properly serviced by the big players. Cab availability is not always high. Fares do not stay the same. And not every driver is well-trained. Yet, there has been no solution. Until now. With one Driver application, one Rider application, Knock-Knock service, and VIP modules available, Happy Ride is all about giving its users as many commute options as possible. You can book rides the old-fashioned way using the app, and you can also book any cab on the road that is associated with Happy Ride, just by knocking on their window and sharing an OTP, thanks to the Knock-Knock feature. Our wide variety of services are driving a transformation in the cab service industry, not only giving customers more rides and better drivers than ever before but also allowing more drivers to make a decent living. A disruption that came with learning In 2019 when the service was ready to be launched, the world was struck by the COVID-19 pandemic and it changed the travel norms once and for all. Happy Ride had to postpone the launch—but the years that followed only allowed us to do more market research, improve ride safety, bolster ride hygiene, and better train our drivers.
