HaRDstories is a non-profit, independent platform committed to telling the stories of human rights defenders and communities in Thailand and across the region. Established in 2021 by the Equal Narratives Foundation, we dive deep into issues often overlooked, offering a stage for voices unheard and stories untold. OUR FOCUS We cover conflicts surrounding land and natural resources, environmental challenges, gender issues, and the rights of workers and minorities. Our deeply reported stories shine a light on betrayals of public trust, offering sustained attention long after the mainstream media has moved on to the next topic. OUR APPROACH At HaRDstories, we don’t just inform; we engage and inspire. While we cast light on the challenging aspects of human rights issues, our heart lies in sharing stories of resilience and solutions. Our stories are crafted to ignite discussions and inspire positive action, leaving readers informed and hopeful. OUR TEAM We are a collective of passionate journalists, photographers, media producers, and translators, overseen by an international board of experts in journalism and human rights. Together, we strive to elevate the discourse on human rights, fostering a more informed, engaged, and compassionate society.
