Tom Harrington founded Harrington Exposition Services in response to the growing needs of companies who were either Forming Trade Show Associations or exhibiting at those tradeshows. The sophistication of the shows and displays were increasing, however the costs of participating was becoming out of control. This was becoming our customer’s largest concern. Tom's vision was that if our customers are not profitable in business.we're not going to be profitable in business. For eighteen out of his twenty-one years in the Exposition and Meeting Industry. Tom was employed by the Nation’s largest general contractor. Tom's primary responsibilities centered on the Sales, pre-planning and execution of large tradeshows. Eventually managing the actual design and erection of the booths themselves. Tom worked with many Association Executives in diverse industries. It was discovered in most cases the clients were looking for more of a liaison and partnership with their chosen contractor than just the use of their inventory. His role was becoming that of purchasing clerk to best allocate budgets outlined by our clientele. He developed a core understanding of two operational absolutes: As a provider of services.
