Mission: Harvester Arts builds the creative capacity of the community through arts experimentation, public art projects, artist residencies, and professional development for artists. Vision: Creative action builds healthy communities. Core values: are Experimentation, Capacity Building, and Community Engagement Harvester Arts, founded in 2014, is a Wichita-based nonprofit connecting artists and community through visual art. Our mission is to build the creative capacity of the community through arts experimentation, public art projects, artist residencies, and professional development for artists. We meet this mission by empowering artists as community resources and by placing art in public life. Our artist-led programs include exhibitions, public art, residencies, workshops, and experimental performance. We provide space and support for artists at all stages to experiment, collaborate, and engage the public through inclusive experiences. In September 2024 we moved into an 8,694-square-foot facility in downtown Wichita to support this growing portfolio. Harvester Arts is governed by a nine-member Board of Directors and an eleven-member Programming Committee of local artists. Our staff includes Executive Director Kristin Beal, Managing Director Mina Estrada, and Gallery Manager Emily Cass. Our funding mix includes foundations, contracts, individual giving, an endowed fund at the Wichita Foundation, and earned income.
