HASLAC, established in March 1997, is an independent, South African organization registered as Health and Safety Legal Audit Consultants Holdings (Pty) Ltd. and trades as HASLAC. We are specialist consultants in the integrated SHERQ Management field, with emphasis on Occupational Health and Safety Legislation. We take pride in the fact that HASLAC Employees have more than 100 years experience in legislation and risk management dealing with Occupational Health and Safety Management. HASLAC has completed more than 700 successful projects from its inception. We attribute our success to our business philosophy, which rests on two pillars i.e. We are totally results-driven, and our success is directly related to the success of our clients. We are a professionally managed and financially sound business. Resumé of our Founder – Late LOUIS TALJAARD Louis held a National Diploma for Technicians, a National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and a National Diploma in Safety Management as well as a National Higher Diploma in Post School Education. In 1991 he developed the first Higher Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Management, which was accredited by the HSRC as an “M+4″ qualification. Louis was a recognized educationist and consultant who specialized in legislation applicable to Occupational Health and Safety Management. He presented more than 500 seminars for Top Management in Southern Africa. He was a full member of the Institute of Safety Management (IoSM) He has trained more than 35 Safety, Health, and Environmental practitioners within the last 25 years. He was honored to be asked to write the overview and comments on the OHS Act in the 1997, to 2010 editions of the BUSINESS BLUE-BOOK OF SOUTH AFRICA.
