Inspirational one-day training events Our events promote emotional well-being and are for people experiencing difficulties in their lives and also for the professionals who help them. Heal And Learn Foundation offer you a safe and supportive foundation, made up of healing and learning, as a basis for personal or professional growth. Each one focuses on a specific area of difficulty that may have challenged you or the people that you work with professionally. We offer you an opportunity to learn in depth about these topics and we suggest skills and resources that can be used by those who are struggling, to help them work towards overcoming their difficulties and transforming their lives. Our events are designed for those facing personal difficulties and professionals who offer support to them. We offer a collaborative learning opportunity, bringing together those who wish to grow personally and those who wish to grow professionally. We believe that when people with a life challenge and people with a professional interest learn together, they all have a much richer experience. Our events are held in the beautiful Peak District villages of Hartington and Castleton, providing a stunning backdrop where delegates can heal and learn in a tranquil, private setting. These are YHA properties offering accommodation at reasonable prices for those who wish to ‘make a weekend of it.’ An important part of each event is an hour long ‘walk in the weather’ which we can take from the door through beautiful countryside to invigorate and refresh. Having known each other for many years, and worked together in a variety of therapeutic settings,counsellor Jane Burton and psychotherapist Gill Sweeting joined forces to develop the Heal And Learn Foundation as a way of offering an alternative style of education to people wishing to deepen their awareness and understanding, to create new opportunities for themselves and to transform their lives or help others to do so.
