From informing local decision-making to shaping globally recognized research, Canada’s provincial, territorial and pan-Canadian health and social data play an important role. Incorporated in 2020, Health Data Research Network Canada (HDRN Canada) connects researchers, policymakers and decision-makers from across the country to use data and expertise effectively in multi-jurisdictional studies and initiatives. Access to data helps address pressing health research challenges and builds Canada’s international leadership in the health field. By creating the infrastructure to support multi-jurisdictional and pan-Canadian studies, we can learn from each other’s experiences, tackle shared challenges, and ultimately, improve public health and the healthcare system for all Canadians.
