Hear2speak

Hear2Speak is a registered nonprofit organisation dedicated to supporting the hard-of-hearing community. Its primary focus is on providing hearing aids to children in need. Founded by a real estate professional who is hearing-impaired and has a son with hearing loss, Hear2Speak aims to make a meaningful impact by ensuring that financial barriers do not prevent children from accessing the gift of hearing. A core initiative of Hear2Speak is to assist 50 individuals with hearing aids in 2025, with a long-term vision of expanding its reach. Hear2Speak is actively raising seed capital to cover administrative, marketing, and operational costs before launching a monthly/annual giving platform in 2025 to fund its mission. The founder contributes 10% of real estate sales commissions from their business, Parker Properties, to Hear2Speak, creating a sustainable funding model. Beyond direct fundraising, Hear2Speak leverages community-driven efforts, including personalised donation appeals to family, friends, and business networks. Hear2Speak also plans to integrate awareness initiatives through a real estate and hearing health podcast, further strengthening its mission. With the belief that as little as R20 per day can provide a child with the ability to hear, Hear2Speak is committed to transforming lives, empowering individuals, and advocating for accessible hearing solutions in South Africa.
