Helical Fusion

Humanity evolves with nuclear fusion." Helical Fusion was founded in 2021 as a spin-off startup from the National Institute for Fusion Science (NIFS) in Japan. We aim to create a sustainable and stable energy source that will enable the coexistence of humans and the Earth for the next million years. Based on the knowledge and expertise accumulated over 25 years of plasma research at NIFS's Large Helical Device (LHD), as well as the development of key fusion reactor technologies and reactor design engineering, Helical Fusion is committed to the development of new technologies, the integration of technologies, and the realization of the world's first helical fusion reactor.
