Helix is a visionary boutique architectural practice, one which is client and employee-centric with a positive ethos, with a “can do” attitude. Project delivery and project satisfaction, being the primary goal. The doctrine at Helix is to ensure a positive work/life balance so that the benefits of a positive, proactive and balanced architectural team ensures a positive outlook, ethos and service. The core leadership at Helix is made up of key individuals who were a long-serving part of “Elsworth Sykes Architecture”, later Capita ESA. The business has an open book approach with all employees, and founded on the basis of a profit share reward business. We believe that no one person is more important than the next, and to that end the business is being developed and nurtured on an understanding of legacy to actively encourage and support the principle of growth through and from within. Helix continues to work with a diverse client base on a variety of projects and sectors, from bespoke one off, private residential commissions through to major commercial master planning projects. As an experienced commercial practice, Helix is commercially driven, and it is our aim to liberate those project values and to identify those potential gains. Apart from being skilled designers, we know that our designs deliver and that they can be realised. This underlying knowledge of the construction process aids and guides our design in the early feasibility stages. This means that our initial concepts rarely differ from the completed project. We believe in excellent design; however, we also believe in the true meaning of architect; as master builder - a skill many architectural practices have long since forgotten.
