The Hellenic Stroke Organization is the home of a vivid society of Greek stroke physicians and other healthcare professionals who are involved in stroke prevention, treatment and rehabilitation. In the spirit of collegiality, we aim to reduce the economic, physical and social burden of stroke in Greece by raising public awareness and supporting continuous medical education through various channels: the Stroke Awareness Day, our Stroke Conference and other scientific events, the development, publication and implementation of National Stroke Guidelines, our Stroke Textbook, our monthly newsletter, and many others.
