Help Homeless Inc

We’re a team of students that aspire to make a positive change by helping out an important part of our community that is often forgotten about: homeless shelters. We started this initiative when we visited NYC. Seeing the amount of homeless people on 7th Avenue alone, we began researching about the homeless epidemic and homeless shelters. The numbers shocked us. 1 in every 120 people in NYC are homeless… and that’s only the documented homeless. Hearing that, we had to do something to help. A few months later, shortly after the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, when we had all the time in the world, instead of wasting it, we decided it was time to act. Help Homeless Inc. current mission is to alleviate the pressures of homelessness of those in and out of shelters with advocacy and donations, financial literacy workshops, and a national database connecting shelters and potential donors.
