Helsinki Innovation Services Ltd is a technology transfer office (TTO), fully owned subsidiary of the University of Helsinki Funds and responsible for evaluation, protection and commercialisation of inventions arising from the research conducted at the University of Helsinki. We handle over 100 invention disclosures annually, maintain and develop a multidisciplinary patent portfolio and help researchers commercialising their ideas and inventions for the benefit of the world. HIS has created several fast growing spin out companies in various business sectors – ranging from immunotherapy for cancer to exporting Finnish pre-school excellence. The companies are disseminating the IPR secured by our experts and are strongly backed by research expertise at the University of Helsinki.
