As a Private Investors, I am particularly interested in established companies that are turning over £500k - £5m per annum. I understand that undertaking the changes to prepare a business for sale can feel too much; especially if you’ve invested years of blood, sweat and tears to build the business and you’re now ready to retire, or feel you’ve just come to the end of your journey with the company. The decision to move on can feel impossible especially when you can’t find a buyer and closing the business is not an option because you have employees that depend on you. As a Private Investor, my mission is to provide a seamless transition while safeguarding the legacy and continuity of your business. My role is to facilitate employees' best thinking, challenge them to dig deeper for solutions, and set the direction for creating structures and processes that not only boost profitability but also enhance the company's marketability. This includes streamlining internal processes for enhanced efficiency, upgrading technology for operational excellence, refining marketing strategies to strengthen brand presence, and financial engineering to boost cashflow. In my view, fostering a culture of experimentation and learning, free from blame, is crucial. Problems often arise when individuals work in isolation and don't understand why certain things happen. I believe communication is the linchpin of success. Deals can be struck for an immediate acquisition of shares or/and assets or for a deal price calculated on what the business will be worth in 2 to 5 years (max), when I’ve delivered the transformation and made it ready to sell. There is also the option for you to walk away immediately or stay on, in an advisory role until you are ready to exit. The choice is completely yours.
