Practical photography that works! The traditional food photography approach.we've all been there. The shot looks fantastic in the menu but what happens when the plate comes to the table? Does it look the same or even close? Of course not and guest expectations are let down. HMCD Photo has 14 years of experience working with culinary directors, menu development teams, operations managers and back of house. That experience has lead us to create food photography that entices guests in a more realistic approach. In addition to this, we have worked with culinary developers and chefs throughout the USA and internationally. This education has taught us how to maximize a shoot day and accomplish more with fewer people and less cost. Shoot fees are all inclusive - pre-production, propping, food procurement, prep, kitchen, styling and retouching. Clients have complete ownership rights. We can shoot here in our studio kitchen or on location. It's your call. We also have extensive experience in on-location shoots- both commercial and editorial, producing and coordinating all aspects of the shoot - talent, location permits, lighting, kraft services, makeup, wardrobe, etc. When the budget doesn't allow for talent we find real people to coach and many times they turn out to be a more realistic, exciting solution.
