Her Star Scholars

Her Star Scholars offers girls and women access to educational opportunities through scholarships, sponsorships, development of after school and enrichment programs, entrepreneurial opportunities, and providing support and resources to local schools. We also support the holistic development of our participants through feeding programs, access to medical resources, and counseling and therapeutic services as needed. Her Star currently supports a nursery and kindergarten school, sponsors elementary students, and offers scholarships to college students in the southern Philippines. Recently we started sponsoring elementary and high school students in Burkina Faso. To ensure that parents of the children are supportive of our young scholars we ask that they commit several volunteer hours each month to support the programs in their regions. From the start we also keep begin developing goals to help the projects become self-sustaining within 10 years time.
