Heritage Victoria

Heritage Victoria makes decisions about the most important historic heritage sites in Victoria Our work includes: Recommending which places and objects should be included in the Victorian Heritage Register Deciding whether or not to allow changes to places on the Register Recommending which historical archaeological sites should be included on the Victorian Heritage Inventory Deciding whether or not to allow changes to places on the Inventory Deciding who can access shipwrecks and other underwater sites Regulating and enforcing the Heritage Act 2017. We also provide grants to help with the cost of preserving heritage sites.
