Hestia Brocante

In 2015 I decided to start my own business doing something I love most: searching and selling antiques and collectables. Over time I expanded and I owned three webshops on Etsy:'That Vintage World' which focused on Mid century Collectables. Mostly West Germany vases.'Blue And White Ceramic': initially I started this shop selling all things Blue and White with a specialty in Delft Blue Ceramics. Being a vivid lover and collector of Delft Blue I ran this shop with joy, sharing beautiful pieces. Because of my love for ceramics for both Delft Blue and tableware I decided to expand this shop and add products with tableware and tea and coffee serving sets. It became more than Blue and White Ceramic. Liz Silver Treasures became Antiques And More and was at first more focused on silverware, but later paintings, miniatures and other pieces were added. Because of the variety and changes I made in my shops, I decided to combine the three shops into one, so I needed a new name! What name would be fitting my new shop? I also collect Dutch ceramics made in Maastricht. Part of my collection are pieces from Petrus Regout and Societe Ceramique, two well-known Dutch factories. My collection consists mainly of Asiatic patterns from Petrus Regout, such as Vesta and Canton. Collecting Asiatic patterns arises from my interest for Asiatic Art History, which I studied at Leiden University. It all started when a large plate from my grandmother was passed on to me. The plate was made by Petrus Regout with the decor Vesta. This was the first decor by Petrus Regout that I started collecting. How approriate to have a shopname linking it to this decor:'HestiaBrocante'. Hestia is the Greek goddess of the hearth, the right ordering of domesticity, the family, the home, and the state. Most of all, her Roman name is Vesta. My love for tableware and other ceramics grew from there. Enjoy scrolling through my store!
