Het Arresthuis

Hotel Het Arresthuis was a former prison and has opened in the spring of 2011. This 5 star deluxe hotel is situated in the heart of the city centre of Roermond. It has 40 rooms, of which 12 Deluxe Cachots and 4 extraordinary suites. The hotel is a monumental building. When you walk into the hotel you will find a lot of the old elements, like the old stair, the original cellblock and the cell doors. A Comfort Cachot is made out of three former cells. So you can still see how small the former cells where. This gives it a very special ambiance but in a very modern design. Fine dining restaurant Damianz is situated at the front of the hotel. The restaurant has been awarded with 16 points by Gault & Millau and a reference in the Dutch Michelin book. You can enjoy a lovely evening with beautiful and high quality dishes.
