Inspired by icons, every piece is both distinct and familiar, a twisted revision on the famous tropes of youth culture. The image is modernist, but the standards are traditional. Launched in Spring/Summer 2019, Hidnander exists primarily as a brand for the independent retail sector, to be distributed by wholesalers, and manufactured by craftsmen. The Hidnander team – designers, artists, visionaries – believe much has been lost in the rush to digital and the upswing of fast fashion. The exception to the rule, Hidnander champions expertise and experience: the often-silent partners that are the guardians of quality and the shepherds of success, the skilled men and women in the factories, on the road, in the stores.
