Higher Elevation Academic Coaching

Academic coaching appointments are driven by the student and create space for conversation, leading to personal insights and plans for achieving goals. Time and project management skills are imparted to improve executive functioning skills. Specialized, custom-tailored scaffolding for students with learning differences and those with IEPs and 504 plans. Provides outside support for parents/guardians who are struggling to navigate and effectively support their teens and young adults academically. Skills imparted include time blocking with a planner or e-calendar by breaking up tasks into smaller parts, planning and incorporating effective study strategies, interpreting teachers’ assignment prompts, reviews, and grading rubrics, reviewing graded assignments and assessments, goal setting, and developing self-advocacy skills for navigating the education system and ultimately life. How it Works: Academic Support: Every student has unique struggles and needs. Academic coaching addresses the challenges faced by students in different curriculums and learning styles by putting into place personalized organizational, time, and project management skills to help students meet their goals. The coach becomes a mentor to the student, encouraging insight and growth throughout the student’s journey. Online: Serving middle school, high school, and college students across the USA.
