Highland Harvesters

Highland Harvesters is a sixty hectares (roughly 150 acres) apple orchard in the highlands of Southern Ethiopia that accomplishes the following- Transitions a missionary from raising annual financial support to supporting himself and his ministry- Provides a platform for Christian businessmen to share the Gospel and disciple others- Models for other missionaries how to be a tentmaker- Allows other Christians to invest in Kingdom businesses- Creates a highly visible business presence in Ethiopia- Generates significant profit to expand the business and ministry. Recognizing the biblical model of Paul's tentmaking enterprise and the historical example of other tentmaker missionaries since the time of the Reformation, Highland Harvesters desires to build Ag businesses through which business-minded missionaries can share the Gospel with their employees and the community. In so doing, we want to show others that tentmaking is not simply a means to be in the mission context, but the ministry itself.
