Highlands Coalition

Mission Statement The Highlands Coalition is composed of people who live or work in the Highlands, which is bounded by Chestnut, Washington, Essex Streets and Western Avenue: acts on economic, social and political matters to improve life in the neighborhood; believes that community schools, working with non-profits, are a pathway out of poverty; intends to build community in other low-income neighborhoods of Lynn; intends to become a community development corporation, acquiring and managing property; mobilizes people into a strong alliance that benefits low-income and working-class people; works with residents to meet needs, enabling them to find alternate sources of livelihood.
